Spaulding & Teddy: We're mighty impressed! Teddy was 2 and Spaulding was already 4 before we got our JOTW! You are a quick learner! Spaulding will be 7 -- seven -- on Sunday, and Teddy will be 5 at the end of January, so, hopefully, we can help you get ideas on how to train parents, too! Kehehehehe &

Christmas Party today

  • Parents: 6/10 Why do parents think they can dance? So embarrassing!
  • Pre-School: 10/10 hristmas Party - Santa - Cake and Present

Well it’s been over a week since my last entry, not been feeling so good but I’m all better now.

Today was a very special day; Jacob took me out to lunch today, how sweet of him. He was really shy and didn’t say much, I think it was probably because my daddy was towering above him giving him that ‘touch my daughter and I’ll pinch your ice-cream’ look!

Anyway, a few friends turned up as well, 47 to be exact plus mummy’s and daddy’s and to top it all off, the Big man himself arrived. I didn’t know Santa drove a Ford as well as reindeer? Anyway daddy explained that Rudolph and the other reindeer are resting for their big night so I guess it was OK….thought Santa more of a Mercedes man myself!

Had lots of cakes and even a present, a great big sticker book!..they are going to look great on mummy’s new wall paper!

Will keep you all up-to-date with the whole Jacob or Ben thing…really not sure which one I like most?

Santa is watching!

  • Parents: 8/10 Dad didn’t tell me off for spilling my drink over our new sofa..or he hasn’t noticed yet!
  • Pre-School: 8/10 Yellow paint hair does work on me!

Held an emergency meeting around the sand pit this morning…turns out that legal action against mum & dad is not an option..shame! Our senior advisor (she is nearly 4) suggested the Psychological approach seems to work the best in most case scenarios.

Back home mum & dad pull out the big guns…note to all my friends…don’t underestimate your parents…

‘Remember, Santa is watching you and he knows if you have been a good girl and won’t bring any presents if your not good’…didn’t see that one coming!!!

Potty trained = big girl now = good girl = presents = I conceded

I am not viewing this as losing a battle more of a learning curve, never engage your parents in battle unless you know all the facts and what ever you do…make sure Santa can’t see you!

So that’s the end of the Potty training period of my life..I’m a big girl now and with it comes many responsibilities…. on a plus note I get to wear my Dora pants.

Possible 'potty' strike action

  • Parents: 2/10 No chocolate - but I still love them
  • Pre-School: No school today

The agreement made last Friday in relation to chocolate has already been broken in exchange for fruit… not happy…. mum & dad claims it is in my best interest as they don’t want me to get bad teeth…

I can only see 2 possible outcomes to this latest breakdown in relations;

1)      A complete ‘potty’ strike leading to many little accidents…

2)      Psychological approach..’but daddy I love you’..

        3)      Legal action taken against my parents for breech of contract.

Having a meeting at pre-school tomorrow with my friends to see which course of action has proven to be the most successful in their opinion. Will keep you posted!

Potty training success

  • Parents: 8/10 They finally gave in to my demands.
  • Pre-School: 6/10 No Christmas cards – Good hair painting day.

I am happy to inform you that after many months of negotiations, a deal was finally agreed upon today between both parties in relation to potty training. The offer of 1 pieces of chocolate for a successful potty ‘action’ was formally put into place and I am happy to state that this agreement remains in place.

Both mum & dad are congratulating themselves on ‘their success’ in finally getting me ‘potty trained’ and I don’t really wish to burst their bubble…oh how easily parents are subdued into a false sense of victory!

Tried a new hair style today at pre-school…red and blue paint…Jacob liked it but mum and dad not too impressed.

Maybe bright yellow on Tuesday….we’ll see!

Christmas Part 1

  • Parents: 4/10 - Potty Training
  • Pre-School: 8/10 - Christmas cards
Christmas decorations went up today..very exciting and my list for Santa is getting longer with each TV ad I see on Nick Jnr.

Pe-School went really well today, I collected 2 Christmas cards from Ben and Jacob. Jacob is kind of cute with is own car..12 volt 2 seater Top speed of over 4 mph and 0 to 4 in under 20 seconds..I am interested but playing hard to get..!

Back home..got into the whole potty training thing...sit on the potty..wait 10 mins..nothing happened..well you try going with an audience..!!! So I didn't go..all day..waited until night time, on goes the 'Pull-Up' and presto... mum and dad not impressed.

My very first blog.

  • Parents: 8/10 They took me to McDonalds
  • Pre-School: No school today

Had to go to Uncle Howard’s house today so daddy could fix his computer...not a problem but right in the middle of 'Maggie and the Ferocious Beast' - not happy - so had a tantrum..about a 6 on the tantrum scale, nothing major just enough to get my own way...

Mummy and Daddy treated me to McDonalds on the way home because I was very good at Uncle Howard’s house and didn't destroy anything.

Had a little too much Ice-Cream and sweets - was sick when I went to bed but dad cleared it up.. Aren’t parents great?

Just a quick reminder, dad say's until I am old enough, he will be moderating this blog so shhhh no secrets... and I would like to state that  until I can read...the views and expressions made on this blog may not be entirely of my own thinking.

Thank you.
